Silke Wagner works conceptual to social, political and ecological issues. She initiates action and irritations, and also processes of communication and change, often in cooperation with local social minorities. Her main focus is on social, economic and politic aspects of public space, and its perception and acceptance through social groups and milieus. Wagner studied at the prestigious Städel-Hochschule für Bildende Künste (School of Fine Arts) in Frankfurt from 1995-2001. In 2007-2009, she had a guest professorship at the Züricher Hochschule für Gestaltung (School for Design).
